List a place

Help & safety

Find the right place to act, and stay safe while you do.

How OpenPlace works

Someone cancelled, so a place opened up. Hosts list that spare place. You can join an event you weren't originally invited to.

Fees & payouts

Free places stay free. On paid places, OpenPlace takes a platform fee; the host chooses whether guests pay it on top of the list price or it comes from the host's payout. Stripe card processing is always deducted from what the host receives, not absorbed by OpenPlace, and not added as a surprise guest surcharge beyond what the listing shows. Hosts connect Stripe from Payouts to get paid. A listed price never guarantees the host will recover what they originally spent.

Staying safe

Keep conversations and payments on OpenPlace, meet in public where you can, and trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, stop and reach out to the host through Messages before going ahead.
